Land Clearing Parramatta
Block prep, regrowth knockdown and infill site clearing across Parramatta and western Sydney, worked to the approved tree lines and the council's planning controls.
Land clearing around Parramatta covers a wide range: a development block that needs the footprint stripped to the approved tree lines, an overgrown rear yard taken over by privet and camphor laurel regrowth, or an infill site where a couple of mid-sized gums sit inside the build envelope. Each job starts with a walk-around so we understand what's coming out, what has to stay, and where the approved boundaries sit.
City of Parramatta Council planning controls matter more than most people expect on the first call. Heritage listings, tree provisions in the Development Control Plan, and protected native vegetation can all stop a clearing job in its tracks. We won't put a chainsaw to anything that needs council approval until that paperwork is sorted, and we'll point you at the right form to lodge if it isn't yet. Established natives are usually worth keeping anyway, they lift the value of the block and shade the dwellings, so we flag the ones worth retaining as we walk it.
Once the boundaries are clear, the clearing runs in a sequence: drop the scrub and smaller regrowth first to open access, then take the larger trees inside the approved line, chip everything that fits the machine, and stockpile heavier trunk material to one corner. Mulch gets left in piles for you to use, spread across the site, or trucked off depending on what the next stage of work needs.

Why Parramatta chooses us
A local crew you can actually trust with the job
- Qualified, insured crews Formal training shows in the judgement calls: when a tree can safely be felled whole, when it has to come down in pieces, and which limb comes off first. Getting those calls right is what protects your roof and fence.. We'll email a current Certificate of Currency before anything is booked. If a limb ever touches a roof, a fence or a car, the claim sits on our policy, not your home cover., so you're covered on every job.
- Genuinely local A quote visit is a short drive, not next week's appointment, and we already know the City of Parramatta tree rules and which streets need a footpath permit before we pull up.
- Clear written quotes Send the tree details in the morning and a written price normally lands before evening. Dangerous trees and storm damage jump the queue at any hour, weekends included., itemised and fixed before we start. The price we quote is the price you pay.
- Safe, tidy work Every cut lands at the branch collar so the tree can close the wound, and we refuse topping outright. Done right, the work is hard to spot within a season. Done badly, it shows for decades.
- There when it counts The chipper and stump grinder both clear an 800mm side gate, and where nothing fits we crane over the roof instead. The job never stalls because a machine couldn't get in.

Do I need a council permit to clear vegetation in Parramatta?
Often yes, depending on tree size, species and what controls apply to the property. City of Parramatta Council protects native vegetation, heritage trees and significant trees through its Development Control Plan. Smaller scrub, listed weeds and exempt species can usually go without paperwork. We'll walk the block, identify what's protected, and steer you to the right council form if approval is needed.
Can the crew clear vegetation on bushfire-prone land near Parramatta?
Yes. Where a property sits on mapped bushfire-prone land, the NSW 10/50 Vegetation Clearing scheme can let you clear certain trees and undergrowth within set distances of a home without separate approval. We work to that scheme where it applies and to the council's controls everywhere else, so the clearing stays compliant.
What happens to the mulch and timber?
Default is chipping on site and leaving the mulch in piles, you can spread it, use it, or pay a haulage line to truck it away. Heavier trunk material gets cut into rounds and either stacked for firewood, or removed if you don't want it kept. We ask on the day rather than assume.
Can you work around trees that need to stay?
Yes, that's normal on a Parramatta job. Native canopy, heritage-listed trees or anything protected under the council's controls gets marked and worked around. We put protective barricades around trunks during the rest of the clearing so the keepers aren't knocked by machinery. If a builder needs them protected to a council standard we can install tree protection zones to spec.
